Light-Bearer

Posted on 16 September 2009

I see emerald signs
on a wind-swept green shore
where wandering words
reach out for more

Whose symbols in symphony
play the music of spheres;
they’re calling so loudly,
but can can anyone hear?

I stand at the head
of the world’s lonely streets;
I call to the winds
where their boundaries meet

I am a light-bearer
to a world without hope,
casting out fear
where the darkness can’t cope

A voice in the wilderness
like John long ago,
Elijah is calling,
“It’s time to come home.”
