Proverbs

The Proverbs of God
are given
To know wisdom,
to understand instruction,
to guide by words of insight
so that I can relate to others
in righteousness
in justice
with mercy and
with fairness
Let the humble read them,
ingest them,
to become prudent, knowing, and discreet
Let the wise hear them
and become wiser still
Let the one who comprehends them
gain guidance to understand
the proverbs, sayings, and riddles
of the wise
The fear of the LORD
is the beginning of knowledge;
but fools despise
wisdom and learning.
